There are 5 major school systems in the county representing both public and non-public schools. All are offering high quality education to better suit the individual preferences of parents and students. Our people care about the education of their children and expect only the very best. The county school systems have produced a who's who of some of Kentucky's and the nation's finest educators, thinkers, novelist, governors, senators, representatives, and successful entrepreneurs. Some people have left the area but, are always quick acknowledge their fond Clay County roots and associations.
